I'm considering transferring from the University of Toledo to either Seton Hall or Rutgers-Newark?

I am considering transferring from the University of Toledo to either Seton Hall or Rutgers-Newark. I will be majoring in Psychology/Pre-Med. Which school has the best psychology program? Which school has the best overall campus life experience?

I can’t say much for Seton Hall since I’ve never been there, nor do I know much about it. I’m a Rutgers student however, so I may be able to answer some of your questions about Rutgers-Newark. R-NW has a strong pre-med program, Rutgers as a whole is a large research university, which has great access to medical research opportunities and local hospitals. The vast numbers of alumni usually reach far into the local communities, making things like finding med work much easier. Psychology of course, is mostly research-oriented, and there is no better place to be for research work than a University that is completely dedicated and funded to do just that. Overall campus life is good – students are very diverse and open, there are a large number of extracurriculars to join – which I would highly suggest doing, especially in the fields you’re looking at. They can help connect you to alum and older students to mentor you, etc. There are a number of psych societies, and future doctor associations. If you need more information, feel free to contact me!

    Good luck!
